Chris's cousing Brad is visiting this week and we went out on a boat with a couple of our friends here and we had dinner at a restaurant out on the bay yesterday. It was a beautiful day to go out, but a little windy at times. One of the cruise ships happened to be leaving Tampa right as we were going past - can't believe how big those are up close.
So, I decided to finally get a bit creative and make an Easter centerpiece...super easy and pretty fun! Anyone who knows me knows I like to do fun and crafty things, but usually don't have very good ideas or things don't turn out as good as I would like! Practive makes perfect though so maybe one day I will get there. I have been inspired by seeing other peoples craftiness and it makes me want to do more.
This weekend Chris and I decided to walk down to the Tampa Port where the cruise ships come in and out of. It was 70 degrees this weekend and perfect to be outside. We live just about a 5 to 10 minute walk away and had been dying to walk down there so first weekend the rain left us alone, we were so there! I cannot believe how big these cruise ships are...one of these days we will be on one we hope!
Well, Chris and I went to our first concert ever, I know crazy. It was right here in downtown Tampa about 5 mins from where we live. We rode the trolley there and had such a fun time. It was bright and sunny when we left, but when we left the concert it was pouring. The trolley's only come about every 20 minutes and we had just barely missed it and decided to walk home since it's not too far and even though it was raining it was still like 80 degrees at 10:00 at night! Gotta love it! By the time we got back, we were soaking wet, but the walk in the rain in January was just too fun!
The picture of us when we got back is horrible - makeup all ran off, but still had to post one pic of us, it's the only one we took of us that night! My pants were soaked up to my shins and if you look real close you can see the color variation in our jeans!
Chris and I went to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day - it was wonderful just being able to spend all day together. We celebrated our 5th Valentine's as a married couple. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband.
We are now in Tampa, FL and I have been horrible at blogging. Things were a little crazy the past couple of months, but I will try to do better. If you have a facebook, you can catch me on there a little more often. :)
