Girl Day!

My dad was out of town this weekend on a business trip so my mom came up to my house to visit for the weekend. She came up Thursday night after work and we had dinner and just hung out that night. The next morning we got up and my sister, Michelle, came up Friday morning and I made us some coffee cake and coffee. It was tasty if I may say so myself. We went to a couple of antique shops afterwards because my sister enjoys looking around at those kind of stores. My mom and I had body massages scheduled for 1:00 that afternoon so my sister headed back home at that time to spend some time with her husband. Our massages were fantastic! I love getting body massages. When Chris got home from work that evening, he took me and my mom out to dinner to Ruby Tuesday and then we stopped and rented Alvin and the Chipmunks to watch that night. My mom left today around noon and we are having some friends over tonight for dinner and to hang out, so that should be fun.

Memorial Day Weekend is Almost Here :)

I am so excited for this weekend. I took Friday off and my mom is coming up to Logan Thursday night to spend the weekend with me. We have body massages scheduled for Friday afternoon at Kakoi Day Spa...so excited for them. My wonderful husband has bought me a body massage every year we have been married - he is so sweet! So my mom and I are going to hang out on Friday and then she will go home sometime Saturday morning and then Chris and I will most likely spend the rest of the weekend boxing up things in our house and getting ready for the move especially since we are supposed to have crumby weather the whole weekend.

Mother's Day Weekend

This past weekend we went down to Ogden to celebrate Mother's Day. I cannot believe it, but I did not take any pictures to show for it. We had a party at my family's house for my mom late morning and then we had a party at Chris's grandma's house for his mom's side of the family later that afternoon. Both parties were very enjoyable and it was nice just being able to hang out with family. I really wish I would have taken some pictures especially since I even remembered my camera. I have never been a good one at taking pictures, which is one of the reasons I enjoy blogging so much - it makes me take pictures to be able to post.

Our 3rd Anniversary!

Life just keeps getting better. Yesterday was our 3rd anniversary!! I can't believe it has already been 3 years, the time has gone by so fast. We didn't do anything too fancy since we are trying to save our money for our move, but we did go out to dinner and had a really nice time. We went to Hamilton's Steak and Seafood Restaurant. It was very tasty! We have only been there a couple times and both times it was with my company Christmas party. We wanted to go see a movie afterwards, but there wasn't really anything playing that interested us so we just rented a movie instead. We stayed up really late, which was nice for Chris especially, since I usually go to bed at a "Grandma's time" according to him. We both took today and tomorrow off of work so we will have a nice, long weekend. It is so wonderful to see my husband every night now that he is done with school! We are headed down to Ogden this afternoon for Mother's Day weekend so that will be nice. I have a few things I need to do down there tomorrow and Chris is going to work on getting one of our cars tuned up and ready for the move. We have to get all of our family time in over the next couple of months since we won't have the option of just driving down much longer.

Graduation Day Continued

Yesterday was a wonderful day...Chris graduated with his degree in Electrical Engineering. I am so proud of him! Both of our families came up for the celebration and attended the commencement service and afterwards all headed to our church for a little party in his honor. We had all kinds of food and just enjoyed visiting with each other and celebrating the wonderful day. Many people have asked Chris "How does it feel to be graduated?" He told me it doesn't really feel any different since he will be starting school again in about two months, but I will definitely notice the difference when I actually see him every night (that is at least until he starts school again!) Hopefully, it won't be too bad since he will just be going to school full time and not working; he deserves a break. He is such a hard worker...while he was attending school full time he also still worked full time. I am so excited to start our new adventure together, it will be a great chapter in our lives.

Snow in May

Can you believe this? It is May 1st and we woke up to snow this morning! It is getting a little ridiculous. Every other day we have been waking up to different weather...we get in the 70s one day and the next day we have snow on the ground. Can I just say how ready for Texas I am right about now? :) Get me out of this crazy Utah weather. The weather channel is at least calling for 50 degrees tomorrow so at least we shouldn't be seeing snow. Hopefully, it will warm up for the weekend, but I am not holding my breath.

This is what we got to see when we stepped outside this morning.

This is the not so beautiful view I saw when I looked out my window at work.
