Goodbye Jeep

Chris and I got rid of our Jeep a couple of weeks ago. It was kind of sad; it's taken us all over the country; from Utah to Texas, Texas to Michigan, Michigan to Florida, and a few roadtrips here and there including to DC. But with all that traveling it was getting up there in miles and after replacing the fuel pump for a 3rd time we decided it was time to let it go! Especially considering on the move from Michigan to Florida we broke down and that was our 3rd and final fuel pump to replace...wanted to get rid of it before another one came up in about 1 year. Anyway, we love our new car; we got a BMW X5 and Chris thoroughly enjoys it!

Our last roadtrip in our Jeep - drove to get our new car about 2 hours away in Daytona.

We both fell in love with the fact it had a 3rd row seat, it's real tiny and I am not sure why we like it so much since it is still just the two of us! Still no kids planned for now either, will just set that straight now. :)

We are already planning our first road trip to Key West over Labor Day weekend! Can't wait!!

Being Crafty

This weekend Chris is out of town so I had some free time and decided to put some of my craftiness to practice. I got this idea from one of my friends and just loved them so decided to make some of my own. I am really happy the way they turned out - they match all our red, black, and white stuff just perfectly!

Chris's B-day

This year for Chris's birthday, we did what he wanted...test drove cars. Of all things that's what he wanted to do. Yes, we are looking for a new car, but I was hoping for something a little more spectacular for the birthday celebration, but the birthday boy apparently had other plans. Anyway, we shopped around for cars in the morning which he thoroughly enjoyed then finally we got to go to dinner at a local place of his choice, we tried a Greek restaurant for our first time. Then we came home and I made his special request for dessert - brownie sundaes. We had a great day together and it's hard to believe we are both 26 now! We are getting so old! Happy Birthday Chris!!!

Summer Vacation to Utah

Finally this year Chris and I decided to get smart and visit Utah in the summer when there wasn't any snow and it was actually a very enjoyable trip. For once we weren't dying to get back out of Utah and away from the snow. We kept very busy and enjoyed hanging out with family! Our first night there we had a big family BBQ at my parents house. My grandparents were in town too so it was great getting a lot of the family together.

Oh the joys of foil dinners...this time since there were so many my dad decided to just build a little pit to cook them on - love foil dinners!

Little Baby Reagan - my cousin had her baby while we were there. She was only 5 lbs and 13 0z and had a full head of black hair - so precious!
